Starting today, Nolwenn Languille is exhibiting her works at the Atelier du moulin. As far back as she can remember, she has always drawn and painted. For about ten years, she attended the sculpture studio of René Robin, well-known to the people of Vertou because he was behind the Moulin Gautron center for expression and creativity (CEC).
After two years of advertising illustration, she specialized in nature animation. She is still creating naturalistic illustrations for a guide project aimed at nature discovery centers, a project subsidized by the General Council of Finistère, the Regional Council of Brittany, and the Nature and Discovery Foundation.
Today, she is an illustrator of children's books, in which her two little characters, «Eline and Tomis,» travel in Brittany, whom she also features in paintings that combine poetry, colors, and sometimes mischief.
In parallel, she created oil paintings in which she translated her love of nature and landscapes into a more minimalist style of painting. She paints her memories of emotions and impressions that tell the story of this nature, which changes according to the light, the time of day, and the weather. This painting (oil on canvas or wood) leaves room for the viewer's impressions. These worlds are presented in this exhibition.
From Saturday, June 26 to Sunday, July 4, Atelier du Moulin, rue de l'Industrie, open weekdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.; weekends from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., free admission, wearing a mask required and a maximum of six people allowed.
